So much is published about 'boys toys' - cars, computers, phones, gadgets etc but what about girls toys? What do we like to do with our spare time? I am unashamedly feminine in my interests. I don't like cars all that much and fishing leaves me cold.
So what are this girls favourite toys? My sewing machine has got to be number one. It's as old as my mother and I just love being creative with it. I also like...ahem…my hair straightener. It's really nice to just have lovely, silky, manageable hair occasionally. My new favourite is going to have feminists up in arms. My food processor! It's amazing what you can make with those things.
So catalogues for electronics, cars, sports gear and food go straight in the bin while brochures for jewelery stores, craft shops and department stores get my full attention. Preferably with a mocha and chocolate brownie on the side.
